WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

The Specialty Leasing Manager reports to the General Manager, Retail and is responsible for specialty leasing program of the shopping centers within the Louisiana region. The specialty leasing manager is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and managing all aspects of the program, budget, and tenant relations for the region. 

A FEW OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

Initiate and maintain Shopping Center’s Specialty Leasing Program, including:

  • Preparing an annual plan of action and specialty leasing budget
  • Weekly canvassing regionally, locally and within each shopping center
  • Facilitating deal sheets for approval; Preparing License Agreements
  • Producing monthly income and sales reports for the General Manager’s review
  • Coordinate ongoing market research, and tenant mix analysis
  • Proactively identify and secure new tenant accounts at the local and regional level
  • Act as fiduciary for the performance of the assets and be responsible for increasing asset values by strategically and proactively leasing the properties
  • Utilize various marketing and public relations techniques to generate revenue and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with signed lease documents
  • Assist corporate leadership on long-range retail planning issues, including marketing, new spaces, sizing, relocations and tenant types
  • Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with specialty tenants, prospects and industry associations while complying with the operational policies and procedures established by Morguard
  • Monitor all relevant activities in the city and respective trade areas for the Shopping Center’s market that could impact the ongoing or future operation of the Shopping Center and its tenants
  • Coordinate the execution of lease renewals, expansions and terminations with other departments: i.e. property management, operations/maintenance, construction, marketing, permanent leasing
  • Effectively represent the company at ICSC events, industry events and association meetings. 

WHAT WE REQUIRE 

  • Bachelor Degree in marketing, business or related field preferred, high school diploma required
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years sales or shopping center Specialty Leasing experience
  • Highly developed communication/interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with cold calling, and networking
  • Strong organizational and computer skills to include a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) in a Windows XP environment or later
  • Ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
  • Strong commitment to company goals and values
  • Regional and limited overnight travel required
